The reason behind a wide variety of answers to the question above is because fundamentally the question itself is not the right question to ask! The better way to phrase this question would be

Linux distro world originated because of the difference in use cases and each distro out there are made to serves a specific purpose. As each of us have specific needs to be fulfilled, one distro which will be best for someone else might not be the best for our use case!
